An Evening in the Wind

I love cold pizza in the morning / she goes without

The royal wedding / the male in the house carries no clout

There’s plenty of beer in the fridge / all union made

The bulldog is resting / lying in the afternoon shade

Hockey playoffs tomorrow afternoon / B’s and C’s going to test

Tonight the winds howl through the valley / she continues to rest

Plastics tomorrow / where it all began / when the news did arrive

And it got me thinking about a rockin’ poet who likes to say …

“It’s not a sin … to be glad you’re alive”

Dinner and desserts and dishes too / the night is done

Tomorrow is scheduled / at least for one

  1. Thanks Nancy. I was under a cloud last night – normally these poems take a minute or two – I struggled with this one. With any luck at all today her drain will be removed. She’s very happy with the development.
